Great news for those working in Bristol City Council as Unite and N-Gaged Training have signed an agreement with the Council which will give many existing employees access to apprenticeship level qualifications.
The agreement follows from the English and Maths courses N-Gaged are already delivering in the Council, and will offer workers in a number of areas the chance to gain a full vocational qualification.
Matt Gillett Learning Organiser with Learn with Unite said ‘It’s great to conclude this agreement and build on the very positive work the Union has been able to do with the employer to increase the courses available in the workplace. We are grateful for the efforts of all those who have made this possible. We now look forward to working with the Council to roll out these opportunities. As always the role of Union Learning Reps in promoting learning with will be vital to the success of this project.’
Simon Arnold, MD at N-Gaged commented ‘We are delighted to be extending and consolidating our excellent working partnership with Bristol City Council and Unite. High quality apprenticeship training provides a really solid foundation for workers to build satisfying and rewarding careers. We are very proud to have been chosen to take forward this important work.’
