As learners, considering driving a range of vehicles such as LGV's and Vans for a living, you will be in control of much larger vehicles that have a significantly greater impact if involved in an accident. As recent high-profile news stories show, this can have a devastating impact on all involved. This course will look at why and how to carry out safety checks and how to respond during breakdowns or accidents while providing an update to your road safety knowledge.

This course is relevant to anyone wishing to gain employment within the logistic sector who is involved in the driving of a vehicle.
Any current driver or novice who wants to update/improve their knowledge of road safety.
This course is divided into 4 units of which there is no formal examination for 1 unit. The other 3 will be assessed in a variety of ways by your tutor from which a portfolio of work that you create over the time of the course will evidence the remaining 3 units.
Successful completion of the qualification will give students a good working knowledge of the basics of road safety
